Brooke Ridinger, DVM
Medical Director
Meet Dr. Brooke Ridinger, a dedicated veterinarian with roots in Frederick County, where she grew up on a dairy farm. After graduating from Catoctin High School, she pursued her passion for animal science, earning a degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, and later, her DVM from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Ridinger spent seven years in mixed-animal practice before joining USDA APHIS Veterinary Services as a field Veterinary Medical Officer. She returned to a small animal private practice in Frederick County in 2019. Today, she lives on a farm in Emmitsburg with her husband, Jason, and their two kids, Dylan and Morgan, surrounded by a menagerie of pets, including a Border Collie, Beagle, barn cats, pigs, and chickens.
In her free time, Dr. Ridinger loves tending to her garden, baking, canning, and working on renovation projects around the farm. Family campfires and s’mores are also a favorite pastime, creating cherished moments with her kids.
Nicole
Veterinary Technician
Nicole has been with Antrim Veterinary Hospital since 2009 and has had a love for animals since she was a little girl. Nicole is well-rounded in all skills around the hospital. She loves anesthesia, dental cleanings, and pulling blood samples. Her favorite part of her job is returning pets to their loved ones after a spending the day at the hospital for a surgery- seeing the happiness of the owner and a tail wag is heart warming. Nicole is fear-free certified to make hospital visits less stressful for our four-legged friends. When not working, Nicole enjoys time with her husband and two kids. She has 3 dogs (Axel, Zeus, and Colt), 7 cats (Tucker, Mac, Callie, Jewels, Dozer, Benny, and a foster named Boo) and a bearded dragon named Larry. Nicole’s favorite breed is Schnauzers!
